Freiburg, December 22, 2009. S.A.G. Solarstrom AG (German security identification number: 702 100, ISIN: DE0007021008), Freiburg, has completed and connected to grid their large-scale projects in Stribro, Czech Republic (13.6 MWp), Dehner Garden Center in Rain am Lech (4.6 MWp) and NBC Franken Solarfonds 1 (so far 2.3 MWp) on schedule. S.A.G. therefore confirmed the forecast for the fiscal year 2009 with anticipated sales of between €125 and €140 million and an EBIT in the range of €5 to €8 million. The company is expecting sales of between €190 and €210 million and an EBIT of between €8 and €11 million for fiscal year 2010, despite the difficult market situation.
The system in Stribro near Pilsen is currently the largest system in the Czech Republic with a total of 13.6 MWp. S.A.G. Solarstrom AG reported for the first time on this project at the end of May. The system has now been completely installed as planned and connected to grid.
In September, S.A.G. Solarstrom AG was commissioned by the project planning company WALTER konzept, Ellwangen, as the main contractor for the installation of the planned 4.6 MWp system on the rooftop of the Dehner Garden Center, after WALTER konzept was awarded the contract for handling the large-scale project in June. S.A.G. Solarstrom AG took over 4.2 MWp of the project from WALTER konzept.
Back in May, S.A.G. Solarstrom AG was commissioned by the NBC Franken Solarfonds 1 GmbH & Co. KG to install photovoltaic systems on around 160 rooftops of charitable and municipal buildings in the region. To date, a total of 2.3 MWp in system sizes of 20-30 kWp average have been installed on up to eight parallel construction sites and connected to grid.
“We have completed and grid connected all large-scale projects as promised. The second half-year and the fourth quarter in particular met our expectations in every respect. We are therefore very confident that we will definitely be able to achieve our goals for 2009“, says Dr. Karl Kuhlmann, CEO of S.A.G. Solarstrom AG. “For 2010 we are cautiously optimistic, even though it is very difficult to plan in the current market, due to the financing conditions and uncertainty of component availability. At any rate, we will continue to pursue our adopted growth strategy and are anticipating sales of between €190 million and €210 million and an EBIT between €8 million and €11 million.“
